Two independent consultants were hired to review statewide operations during the fall of 2007. They visited all three Major Administrative Units, discussed System activities with Statewide and campus leaders, and reviewed numerous reports and analyses. The recommendations in the report represent their best advice on how to sustain the high level of performance that has characterized the Alaska System for the past decade while taking greater advantage of the talents within the System as a whole and reducing central costs.
